Professional information

​Cher Neves is a Specific Learning Difficulty (SpLD) assessor & consultant based in the magnificent city of Edinburgh. With a background in teaching and SpLD education, her area of specialisation lies in literacy and dyslexia assessment/support. 

​

Cher has experience working with students of varying ages and stages of education (Primary & Secondary) and adults in Further and Higher Education.

 

After completing a Bachelor of Education degree in 2005 she went on to further her studies whilst teaching, obtaining a level 7 post-graduate qualification in Literacy and Dyslexia assessment and support.

​

After a number of years supporting and diagnosing primary/secondary-aged pupils with dyslexia, Cher then embarked on a journey to complete a second post-graduate qualification in psychometric testing, assessment and access arrangements.

In recent years her work has predominantly been in the post-16 sector of education. 

 

Cher holds a current Assessment Practicing Certificate (APC) and is registered with Patoss/SASC and the British Psychological Society.

 

Cher offers full diagnostic assessments that can be used for DSA applications for post-16 students.

Diagnostic assessments can take place remotely (Teams/Zoom).
